Welcome to St. Paul's Boarding & Day School

The Daughters of the Cross began St. Paul's Orphanage and school for the Eurasians and Anglo-Indian orphan boys of Calcutta as early as in 1873.

However it was in the year 1912 that the school was formally inaugurated by Lady Carmicheal, the wife of the then Governor of Bengal. In 1974 it was upgraded and recognized as ICSE School for Boys. In 2000 the school was recognized as a Senior Secondary affiliated by Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi. In 1991, school was open to the girls. The last batch of the boys passed out in 1999 and thereafter the school was only for the girls.

St. Paul's Boarding & Day School, founded in Kolkata in 1912 is a Minority School established and administered by the Congregation of the Daughters of the Cross in Roman Catholic Church. The Congregation founded by Blessed Marie Therese Haze in 1833 in Liege, Belgium, has been active in the sphere of education throughout the world, ever since its foundation. Read More...
